Honda Fit Shuttle, the elongated Jazz makes appearance in Japan

I am increasingly convinced that one of the strangest car markets is Japanese. Occasionally arise specific to that market developments that would be unthinkable to succeed in Europe or the U.S. , as the case we see here. Recently there have been leaked catalog images of  Honda Fit Shuttle Hybrid , a kind of extended version of the Honda Fit, baptized in Europe as Honda Jazz.

The first thing that caught my attention are the strange proportions that keeps the model . The front is very similar to the one introduced in the Jazz after its facelift. So far nothing unusual, but if we continue along the sideline we quickly with a sizable first window, which probably helps to improve driver visibility but aesthetically is no mean feat.

In the back, also not very tasteful pillar triangular shape, which makes it seem to the last section a hairpiece added, an effect similar to that introduced the SsangYong Radius. With these design parameters, it is easy to deduce that the purpose of this model is to maximize the interior space. We could say that is an adaptation of the Honda Jazz to offer customers a minivan larger a lower price than you would a model from scratch.

Where did they will be more attractive in the engines. The most affordable option is engine 1.5 petrol, but the most interesting is certainly a hybrid engine IMA 1.3 petrol engine, which is probably the same as riding the Honda Insight and the Honda Jazz Hybrid. While power is not known from any of the propellants, 1.5 surely variant has a power of 110 HP and 98 hybrid version thereof Insight CV.

Yet there has been no formal presentation of the model, but the Japanese media say the Pre-owned Honda Fit Shuttle Hybrid will be unveiled in two weeks and will be released in March. It seems unlikely that someone would leave the Japanese market so, like it or not, we will not see on European roads.
